Welcome to Week 1 of our Early Spring Cycle. Over the next 6-7 weeks, we’ll spend time building our top-end strength with Front Squats & Back Squats, and honing our Bar Muscle Up & Strict Pull-Up skills. This week, we’ll set a benchmark for our 1RM Back Squat and 1RM Front Squat so we can retest at the end of the cycle. We’ll also get a baseline for BMUs and/or Strict Pull-Ups.
While we of course encourage you to practice both of the gymnastics movements, we’ll recommend that you bias towards strict pull-up strength work if you don’t yet have that skill in your toolbox. There will be plenty of opportunities over the next several weeks to practice both!
