Welcome to Open Prep!! We’ll follow a prep cycle for the CrossFit Open starting this week and running for the next 7 weeks. We’ll focus on barbell cycling, gymnastics skills, and higher-intensity pieces that are or mimic Open workouts. We spent the last 4-5 months developing a baseline of strength so that we’re ready to tackle Open season head-on.
We start the cycle off with 23.1, the first test of last year’s Open. Each week, we’ll have a repeat Open workout. The Open starts on February 29! Register on 1/9 at games.crossfit.com. Everyone can (and should) participate! This is a chance to test our fitness each year, and there are scaling options for beginners all the way through advanced athletes.
