Welcome to Week 3 of the Hercules cycle.
This week shifts our focus toward barbell cycle refinement, strict gymnastics strength, and aerobic repeatability while layering in higher-volume core and posterior chain accessory work. Monday’s front squat and EMOM blend combine raw strength with upper-body fatigue and midline volume. Tuesday begins with a heavy power clean complex designed to reinforce pulling mechanics and barbell speed, followed by a classic triplet conditioning test. Wednesday delivers a chipper-style test that pushes engine and mental grit through running, burpees, and high-rep movements. Thursday moves into a strength EMOM with deadlifts and broad jumps before a tight, time-based interval piece that tests midline fatigue and upper pulling. Friday offers a change of pace with Turkish get-up skill work and a high-skill dumbbell/bodyweight sprint.
We will honor the crew from HSC-8 that was lost on Loosefoot 616 on this Saturday with the Hero workout “Buriak.” Please join us– no charge to participate. Please consider signing up for their annual “Run to Remember” on October 18, 2025. Details to follow, or visit https://theaws1jamesburiakfoundation.org/
