Welcome to Artemis/Open Prep Week 2!
In anticipation of the Open, we’re going to do an 800g Nutrition Challenge and a Double Under challenge from Jan 19-Feb 22. Eat 800g of fruits & veggies by weight per day, .7g of protein per pound of bodyweight, and practice double unders (or other jump rope skill) for 3:00 per day. Let’s make this our best Open yet!
Week 2 continues the Artemis build with a clear emphasis on technical barbell exposure, pressing strength, and repeatable conditioning under controlled fatigue. The Week layers skill and positional integrity early (snatch clusters + cyclical gymnastics), progresses into leg strength and elastic power (lunges + squat/jump transfer), then tests aerobic repeatability with two-interval conditioning. The back half of the week sharpens barbell execution under fatigue (row + heavy clean singles), finishes with pressing stamina and shoulder/trunk density work, then brings the community piece on Saturday.
We’re into our second full week of 2026– let’s stay consistent at the gym and get after it! The Open is coming!
