New to CrossFit/Basic Movements

Thank you for taking the time to check out CrossFit Coronado.  We value each of our members and are committed to helping each and every person grow as an individual in the gym and as an athlete.  In order to ensure that each person joining CrossFit Coronado is equipped with the best possibility for success, we have all new members go through three one hour personal training sessions where we teach the 9 foundational movements of CrossFit.  These are all barbell movements that require a lot more instruction than we can give new members in the group setting.  In each of the three classes we will teach you specific lifts and how to execute them safely and efficiently.  Our goal is that you finish these three classes ready to jump in with our group classes feeling confident and excited.  We do not expect you to be a master at the movements after the three classes and rest assured, movements are always reviewed at the start of our group classes.

The movements covered in these classes include: air squat, front squat, overhead squat, back squat, press, push press, push jerk, deadlift, sumo deadlift high pull and clean.  If you already have a knowledge of these movements, you can “test out” of this series with one of our trainers.

The cost for the three sessions is $299.  This INCLUDES your first month membership (unlimited classes/week).  We schedule the three private classes at a time convenient to you.
